Liam Higgins is a director of photography from Toronto, Canada. Liam’s work could
best be described as organic, but intentional. Growing up between Windsor, Ontario
and Detroit, Michigan, the streets, it’s gritty characteristics and people of a similar
vein worked to shape the honesty in his images.
Liam works to hide many layers of preparation, research and highly-intentional detail
into cinematic imagery. Championing the works of Alex Webb, Gregory Crewdson and
Roy Anderson, Liam’s craft continuously challenges the convention of modern street
photography by honouring the work of his predecessors and basing his process in a
congruent philosophy.
Liam’s newest film “Differently, Still” is now streaming on Nowness, and he is
currently working to complete his recent photo series titled “Extra Ordinary”
